Reynolds pad refers to a pad-shaped engineering structure composed of machine-woven double-twisted hexagonal metal mesh, whose thickness is much smaller than the length and width. Reynolds pads are filled with fillers such as blocks and then connected into one body, becoming an anti-scour structure mainly used for water conservancy embankments, bank slopes, Hyman, etc., with the advantages of flexibility and adaptability to the foundation. The thickness of Reynolds pads is generally between 0.17-0.3m. Reynolds pads are mainly used as protection structures for river courses, bank slopes and roadbed slopes. It can not only prevent the river bank from being damaged by water flow, wind and waves, but also realize the natural convection exchange function between the water body and the soil body under the slope, and achieve ecological balance. Planting green on the slope can add landscape and greening effect.
Reynolds pad material:
(1) Galvanized steel wire: high quality low carbon steel wire, the diameter of the steel wire is 2.0mm-4.0mm, the tensile strength of the steel wire is 350~500N/mm², the surface of the steel wire is protected by hot-dip galvanizing, and the thickness of the galvanized protective layer is based on the customer The maximum amount of galvanizing can reach 350g/㎡.
(2) Zinc-5% (10%) aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire: (also called Galvan) steel wire, which is an emerging material in the world in recent years, and its corrosion resistance is 3 times that of traditional pure galvanized steel. times, the diameter of the steel wire can reach 2.0mm-4.0mm, and the tensile strength of the steel wire is 350~500N/mm².
(3) Galvanized steel wire coated with plastic: high-quality low carbon steel wire, covered with a layer of PVC or PE protective layer on the surface of the steel wire, and then woven into various specifications of Reynolds pads. This layer of protection will greatly increase the protection in high pollution environments, and through the choice of different colors, it can be integrated with the surrounding environment.
(4) Plastic coated zinc-5% (10%) aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire: wrap a layer of PVC or PE protective layer on the surface of the zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire, and then woven into various specifications of Reynolds pads. This layer of protection will greatly increase the protection in high pollution environments, and through the choice of different colors, it can be integrated with the surrounding environment.
Features of Reynolds Pads:
1. Improve the stability of the riverbed slope
2. Protect the riverbed from scour
3. Provide the predetermined value of the bank roughness coefficient (m)
4. Greening and ecological protection of slope protection and bank protection
5. Convenient construction
Installation steps for Reynolds pads:
1. Material transportation: Reynolds pads are produced mechanically, and are assembled, compression molded, and packaged with the mesh cover at the factory. All Reynolds pads, whether folded, bound or rolled, are a self-contained body. The mesh mat is folded and compressed in the factory for easy shipping and handling, and the main part of the mesh mat and the mesh cover can be tied separately. Wire ties are supplied in rolls. Ring buttons are shipped together in a box, please keep them in a dry environment for quality assurance.
2. Installation requirements: place the folded Reynolds pad on a flat ground and unfold it, flatten the excess creases, and erect the front and rear panels, bottom plate and partition to a certain position in the shape of a box. The upper and lower four corners of the adjacent cages are connected with double-strand composite wires, and the upper and lower frame lines or folded lines are bound and twisted and tightened with helical fixing wires. Edge protrusions need to be folded and flattened. Assemble the six sides and partitions of each cage completely, ensure that each mesh surface is flat, and then place it in the correct position.
3. Fastening process: Connect the edge of the Reynolds pad to other parts with binding wires. The maximum spacing of the binding is 300mm. There are special specifications. Customers can ask the manufacturer and we will meet your needs. Wrap a long enough wire around the side wire, single or double. We recommend using pliers for assembly to make the Reynolds pads more secure.
4. Installation and material: After installation, place the Renault pads in the designated position, and then connect the mesh pads. In order to keep the overall structure easy to connect, the empty box can be connected and then loaded with stones. When connecting, we provide tie wire or loop fastening wire. Reynolds pads with a width perpendicular to the slope are required for slope protection. In addition to gentle slopes in river channels, Renault pads can also be used on steep slopes. When used for steep slope protection, wedge hardwood wedges on the upper floor every 2m or according to engineering needs. Empty Reynolds pads require careful placement and assembly.
